Emanuela Boccia
is a visual artist and researcher who develops a textile and pictorical work from the divergences between real and virtual time, takes images from social media that serve as raw material for the construction of tapestry pieces and embroidery. It deals with digital languages such as hashtags, memes and images of unknowns to weave narratives between time and creation; past and contemporary; social and domestic. Graduated in Interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts and Master in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Bahia. Participates in group exhibitions since 2018, participating in exhibitions in Salvador and also in São Paulo. As a research artist, she presented articles related to Art and social media at the Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts at the Federal University of Goiás (2019) and also at the Art and Technology conference, Artech in Aveiro, Portugal (2021)
